News : VS Direct Fulfillment Announces Mass Layoffs in Kettering Call Center

Kettering, OH, US, Jan 17, 2024 - In a significant blow to the local economy, VS Direct Fulfillment, LLC, previously linked to L Brands, has declared a permanent, mass layoff at its longstanding call center in Kettering. Roughly 120 employees are anticipated to be affected in this drastic measure. The layoffs, located at the 5959 Bigger Road facility, are scheduled to commence on March 16, 2024, and reach completion by August 3, 2024.

A Quarter Century of Operation

The call center, a fixture in the community for over 25 years, witnessed its zenith in February 2020 with a workforce of approximately 900 employees, although this figure fluctuated with the seasons. The future of the center was shrouded in uncertainty, with representatives remaining silent on inquiries and the office space being advertised online.

Supporting Brands

The call center had the responsibility of backing two significant brands — Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works. Both were part of L Brands before it divided into two separate entities in the summer of 2021.
