News : Wichita Becoming Hub for Call Centers
Wichita, Kan., March 10, 2014-- Nearly 400 employees were welcomed into their new customer contact center in Wichita for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
The permanent call center opened its doors at the former "Office This" and "Wichita Mall" building on East Harry, in Southeast Wichita.
"We're thrilled with the people that we're finding. We love the team that we've built here and we can't wait to add more," said Jessica White, Vice President of North America Customer Contact Centers.
Wichita was added as the fourth call center in North America last summer.
White said they plan to add 150 more jobs by this summer, with the goal of having 900 employees in five years.
"We were looking for a place that had a population of people that had a great personality, that liked talking to other people, liked connecting and engaging with them," said White. "Wichita was the place that we felt best matched our needs."
