News : IBEX Global Moves Into New Office Building
Dec 4, 2014 -- Call center operator IBEX Global have imporoved the San Antonio office building it will move into on Dec. 8.
Business Journal reported in November that the Washington, D.C.-based company plans to hire about 1,000 new workers locally. Its new call center is at 12449 Silicon Drive in the University Park Business Center.
Greg Rajchel, senior vice president of North American operations at IBEX Global, said IBEX chose its San Antonio location near University Park because it is close to major highways and has public transportation nearby.
Most of the money that IBEX spent in renovations went towards technological improvements.
Rajchel said the company decided to expand further into San Antonio because the city has a strong workforce. He said it's also part of the company's overall expansion.
So far, IBEX has hired about 175 San Antonio employees who will begin working this month. It will hire an additional 600 employees in the first quarter of 2015.
