Industry Research : 'Rude' or 'Unprofessional' Staff Let Down Call Centres
Call centre staff at banks and telcos are often rude or unprofessional, according to a consumer survey released on Wednesday.
More than 70 per cent of customers polled had experienced bad service such as a lack of courtesy and being given inaccurate information. Fewer than one in 10 said they were able to get the answers to their questions on the first call.
The Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) commissioned the survey of 1,000 people, which was carried out in December last year.
